Question about a sound getting cut off when laying down a pattern?

When I lay down a pattern and get the drums like I want them. I go to lay down a bass or a synth part and the sound cuts out half way through the loop. Not when I am playing it. Just during play back. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Thanks, John
