1.  When working on a song, save a temporary Multisetup before shutting 
down
or taking a break.  That should preserve all current patches on all
channels.  If something gets mesed up, see if restoring the multi gets it
back.

3.  Sometimes I have been guilty of operator error.  I have embedded 
program changes in a pattern, make changes on the front panel, but don't 
save them (or all of them).
