i had done that and recieved no hits... i'll try again.. this time with less vodka.. ;)

Make sure that the 8 screws that hold the unit together on the 
bottom are tight.

That was a cause for concern at one time.

I have the same problem with my XL7...buzz sounds...and you no I 
noticed that the sound of the buzz changes when you scroll the 
tempo/pattern/barbeat/track button...
