While software editors do have some benefits (easy view of mod routings, random patch settings, etc), for me it goes against one of the key points of using hardware: having a hands-on approach to working with its powerful analog synth architecture versus point/click with a mouse or touchpad.

Last time I checked there are lots of DIY remote controller apps out there. I think the complexity of the Xpander, having to use sysex commands and the business model for selling apps makes it hard to do. The number of Xpander users could not be much larger than 3000, and even that estimate would depend on all of us using ipads.KarlFrom: envia94 <akva@...>

Subject: [xpantastic] Any other iPad Apps for Xpander
Hi,
After the discontinued iXpander iPad App, does anybody know if there are any better Midi App suitable for controlling Xpander available or planned? (PS. I never got iXpander working properly! ... Was it a hoax?!)
