Xpander front panel switch replacement parts ?

Xpander front panel switch replacement parts ?

2007-10-10 by baumont987

Hi,

I'm looking for a replacement part for my Xpander. A front panel
switch died, the copper part inside the switch is broken into two pieces.
I searched on the net for parts resellers and I saw that a US company
called KICS USA could have Xpander parts, but phone number is no more
valid, and the web site does not exist anymore.
Does anybody knows where original replacement switch can be find,
or/and have an up-to-date phone/web site for KICS ?
Are these switch the same as for other OB synths ?

Thanks,

Greg.

Hi,

Please, check earlier messages in 2006-7. There is mentioned a deliverer from whom I for
example got a couple of these and other Xpander parts.

Cheers,
Tiitu.

The email address for KICS (i.e. Doug) that I have is
kicsusa@.... When I emailed him in November 2005, he
said that he had rotary encoders and pushbuttons in stock.

If you get an update from him, perhaps you could post it to
the list.

Cheers,

John :^P

Hi,
Thank you all for your responses. I contacted Doug at KICS and he
still have some parts. Hereafter some extra info:
"We have black push button switches. These are $3.75 (US) each.
Unfortunately we do not have any more encoders. I have volume pots
$7.50, some numbered push button switches but are out of a few of the
numbers, full keyboard sets with the keys mounted to the entire frame
$75, or individual keys $4.50 each, some PC boards (New never had
parts mounted to them, etc."

...and about shipping to Europe:
"These can be shipped via Priority Mail and would arrive in 6-10 days
and the cost for Postage and handling is $27. If sent via
international first class mail, the price is much lower, but is not
trackable and could take 10-14 days for about $10."

The email is kicsusa@....
