Tuning too fast

Tuning too fast

2016-09-10 by Jeremy Smith

Hi,

My Xpander conked out today, and now when you tune, it just whizzes the
numbers 1-6 past mega fast, and therefore doesn't tune properly.

I'm a bit upset to lose this expensive synth.

I tried all Service Menu options and the RAM and ROMs test out fine.

Does anyone know what to try to get it to tune again?

Cheers,

Jeremy.

it would probably whatever circuit provides the voltage that tells the computer that the voice checks out?

Hi
Check and see if all the voices are turned off.( Page two of Master page)If they are all off, it will cause the problem you are seeing.Check this first, then we can go from there.
Best Luck
Karl

Wow you're totally right! All but voice 5 was on.

I did as you said and it tunes now.

There I was thinking I'd trashed a $4500 synth!

Thanks again,

Jeremy.
