Xpantastic!

Sadly, I am required to work away from home for the next couple of
months - JUST after I bought my Xpander.  Writing this from outside
the studio so I hope I am describing the problem correctly and this
question doesn't sound more stupid than it already is but here goes...

Used to be that my Xpander worked as I expected it to - any patch
called up and triggered via MIDI worked as one would expect it to. 
Now, seems that the patch will not make any sound unless OSc 2 is
turned up in the mix - if it is at "0" the voice will not sound at
all.  ...but the thing is that when it IS turned up, both voices seem
to "drone" even after the note is done playing.

Have I tripped any setting that I cannot recall or is this some part
of dealing with the Xpander of which I am unaware?
