                      FB-01 CONTROLLER INFO

The FB-01 Controller is a desk accessory designed to allow you
complete control over your Yamaha FB-01 synthesizer, even from
within your favorite (GEM) sequencer. It also is a patch
librarian, and allows you to save your favorite FB-01
configurations to disk! No more time wasted trying to
reconfigure the "mix" you spent so much time setting. No more 16
configuration limit! You'll be able to restore any setup in
seconds---even from within your sequencer!

You'll also be to change your configuration names without
reverting to the use of an editing program.

At only $49.95, this is one accessory the FB-01 owner won't want
to be without!

The disk should contain the following files:

FB01DEMO.ACC
FB01DEMO.RSC
DESKTOP.INF
READTHIS.TXT (this file)!

Both the FB01DEMO.ACC and FB01DEMO.RSC files must be in the main
directory of your boot disk in order to work! Although DESKTOP.INF
is not required, you must be in either High or Medium Resolution
for the program to run.

The program is activated by clicking on the "FB-01 DEMO" entry of
the "Desk" menu. Alternately, you may open the accessory by
simultaneously holding the ALT + LEFT SHIFT + CONTROL keys. Once
opened, a dialog box will fill the screen with the DEMO control
panel! The first time you open the accessory, it will attempt to
initialize by retrieving the RAM in the FB-01 (Voices in BANKS 1 &
2, etc...) This will only be successful if the MIDI OUT on the
FB-01 is connected to the MIDI IN on the ST.

Be sure the ST MIDI out port is connected to the FB-01 MIDI IN
port! If you have a master MIDI keyboard, you may connect it to
the ST MIDI in: a software thru is supplied by the program to
allow you the ability to play the MIDI keyboard and still control
the FB-01 from your Atari ST! This setup should only be used
after the initialization is successfully completed! Be sure to
set the SYSTEM # to match the SYSTEM ch# on the FB-01 or nothing
will work!

To change a parameter, simply point to the up or down arrows on
either side and click with the left mouse button! Clicking on the
parameter value will reset it to the default value. You may
change patches by clicking on the patch name!

To test a patch, click the right mouse button. When using the right
button to play a note, you can increase the velocity by clicking
further on the right side of the screen, and play a higher note by
clicking higher on the screen!

The demo disables the following features:

     1) Loading, saving & storing of patches and configurations.
     2) All parts except PART #1.
     3) All configurations except ROM (#17 - #20).
