1:DISTRIBUTION
--------------
Wav_Akai is shareware and may be freely distributed, provided that:

Such distribution includes only the original zip file
You may not alter, delete or add any files in this archive
You don't provide a registration code with this software

2:DESCRIPTION
-------------
Wav_Akai is a windows application that can send any .wav file (16 bits only)
mono or stereo to your Sampler, the supported modes are thus :

  - Sample Dump Standard (or SDS) sends only the .wav in mono (no names)

  - S900/S950 sends mono and stereo .wav files with names and associated
program, emulates also a stereo mode that let you play stereo samples !

-S1000/S1100 send mono and stereo .wav files with names and associated
program, supports 11KHz, 22KHz and 44Khz .wav files

It should work with S2000/S3000 in S1000 mode, but I can't guarantee
Wav_Akai send .wav files by Midi only, so be patient, it's slow ...

3:INSTALLATION
--------------
You need to have Visual Basic runtime VBRUN300.DLL installed on your computer
and of course you need a sound card a midi cable and a Sampler.

Unzip wav_Akai.zip in a temporary directory then run setup.exe to install.
Before using Wav_Akai, you need to run wsetup to specify the some parameters
such as sampler model, memory, midi out device ...

Don't forget to have the Sampler midi in connected with your PC's midi out
(or with a keyboard's midi thru).

If you have an S900 or S950, turn in in play mode before sending a Wav file.

4:HOW IT WORKS
--------------
From the main screen, select a .wav file, if you click once you have the file's
description, if you click twice you have the file's description and you hear it.
You also have a green gauge telling you how much Sampler's memory it'll use if you
send it. To send it just click on the big button called "Send Wav".

Look at the memory gauge, it has now turned red to tell you how much of your
Sampler's memory is really used, just under it you have also the number of samples
and programs in memory.

When sending a Wav file you have a several options:
  - A .wav file can be sent with or without an associated program
  - The replay mode is one shot, or full looping (for drum loops)
  - The audio output could be assigned (works only with sample + programs)
  - If the .wav file is stereo you can send a mono sample (left+right channel),
the left or right channel, or a Stereo Program.

Stereo Program send's two samples (the left and the right channel) and create
a program that combines them into a stereo program that you can hear from the
left and right audio output of your Sampler.

The name of programs and samples is the .wav's filename + :
"-" for mono sound	(for S900 and S950 only)
"=" for stereo sound	(for S900 and S950 only)
	"-R" for right channel
	"-L" for left channel

If a .wav file is too big for the remaining memory, Wav_Akai will propose you
to cut the sound to the maximum length.

5:REGISTRATION
