My Mopho arrived one week ago. I spent the week tooling with it, but then got down to business today to attempt my first Saxophone patch. What I expected to take days, I completed in about 2 1/2 hours. Saxophones are not easy to recreate, but I was able to reach my base sound in relatively little time. Here's how. 1. Hooked the Mopho Keyboard audio to my computer running energyXT and iZotope Ozone. I was able to "see" my sounds using Ozone's spectrum analyzer. 2. Hooked the Mopho Keyboard USB to my computer running SoundTower's Mopho SoundEditor LE. I was able to mouse around to get me in the neighborhood of what I wanted. When doing so, the Mopho Keyboard was already tracking the changes that I made online. 3. Used the Mopho Keyboard's +/- increment to fine-tune the parameters. Once I got the hang of this, I hardly touched the knobs. I just played the notes with my left hand, and hit the up/down buttons to do the fine adjustments with my right hand. Every-now-and-then, Editor needed serious tweaking, and since my hands were nearby, I just turned the Keyboard's knobs instead of reaching for the mouse. Most-of-the-time, however, I could get pretty close initially with the mouse, and so became less-and-less dependent on the knobs. I wasn't expecting this, but it worked-out well.
