I think Jerome has pretty much summed up almost all I can think of to improve 
the BCF2000. What I can add are the following things:

BCFview: 
when you select a track in your sequencer outside of the bank of eight tracks 
showing on the LCD screen emulation, BCFview doesn't follow. This is a bit of 
pain and a shame, really. It should be corrected.

Master Fader:
The fact of assigning the last of the 8 faders to the Master Fader is, IMHO, a 
waste. The reason for this is that the Master Fader is rarely used for any other 
thing than Fade In/Out, and should stay nailed at unity gain permanently. But of 
course, this would happen only in Master Mode, so it's not a problem.

BCR2000:
It would be great to have a Mackie Emulation mode for the BCR. You could have 24
faders at hand for instance!! I suppose it needs a firmware upgrade...
