Nope!

Normal gate is being sent to the envelope generators (ADSR).

Sync Input on the oscillators is intended for synchronisation of
waveforms. Toss a waveform from another oscillator (VCO or LFO) on it.
You can also toss the gate on it, but it is really not the intent.
