Ahh.. Okay. That makes sense. So theoretically, if I just built the VCO's
to start with (with no ADSR), I'd have pretty much the same constant tone
except for whatever control are available on the VCO, from power on to
power off. And if let's say I attached a CV/out to one of the inputs, it'd
only change based on the value of the CV, and have no gate control for
on/off signal (until the addition of ADSR)?

http://www.synhouse.com/midijack.html Works on a gazillion other
analog synths... kind of figure it would work, and I know it's not the full
fledged DIY style, but wanted to see if anyone had any other success on it.
Since I want to actually use the synth I make in a live environment and
want to have control via midi over it, I'm looking into different
possibilities. Consider doing the DIY style depending on how I feel once
I'm to that point, or perhaps one of these MidiJacks, because they're
cheaper than a Kenton Pro Solo or most other midi/cv devices.
My goal is something semi-compact (about the size of a VCR) integrated and
not exactly modular. I'm wanting to stay away from rack-mounts for the
purpose of being able to use it easier in a live setup, as well helps
portability.
