Yeah -

The old Oberheim Four-Voice used four vactrols to do log portamento (one for 
each voice channel).  The Four-voice portamento sounded great!  They used the 
Vactec 5C3 vactrol, but you could use one of the currently-available ones 
from Clairex.  The Four-voice keyboard schematics are available at the 
Synthfool pages at Sonicstate 
(http://www.sonicstate.com/synthfool/schm.html).   Look for "Oberheim 4 voice 
keyboard scanning diagrams:  1, 2 , 3, 4, 5 "  The portamento parts are on 
drawing numbers 4 and 5.
