One thing about solderless breadboards is the wide 
variation in quality. I've used some that are terrible. 
They loosen up and won't grab on to a wire for nuthin'. 
Icky. Yuck. Bad bad bad.

On the other hand some are not too bad. I've got a little 
non-critical circuit at work (a watchdog that triggers a dialer 
to call my cell phone if a vibration test fails) that I 
"temporarily" stuck in a box about 8 years ago and 
I use daily.

Not good for critical stuff or anything that is sensitive to 
grounding, impedance, or stray capacitance, but I think 
they do have their place.

Hmmm, maybe a BBD...
