I had a jacobs ladder at a party (with a lexan shield)
but I left a hole so you could hold a cigarette in to
get a 'light'.

Caught some @sshole about to try it with the cigarette
in his mouth... he was gonna SUCK the arc in...

What do you suppose would happen as the arc blew
out ???

He was a LAWYER... should I have LET him do it ???

Its really a moral dilema... YOU decide   ;^P

PS Are you sure that the CRT has MORE current than the
neon transformer... I'd have bet a lot less, judging from the
size of the flyback transformer VS the neon....  Of course the
frequencies are different....
