I think one thing we should keep in mind is that
there may be people who own Deopfer modules already,
either by purchase, trade or gift.  The buyers of
these modules may or may not have been aware of the 
D issue at all, (probably not), but regardless of how 
they came by them, they are more or less stuck with 
them.  These people had no part in what D may or may 
not have done.  Once purchased, D has nothing more to 
do with them.  Given this, I think that helping people 
with these things is not immoral or unethical.  If
I owned D gear, I would certainly not simply throw
it in the trash.  If I didn't want to sell it, I'd
want it up and running.  

I know of no better place to ask these questions than
right here.  Being resistant to helping those D owners
doesn't punish or hurt D in *any* way.  It does, however,
hurt those who own them and would like to use them.

All just my opinion...  Ignore as necessary.  Flame me 
if you must, but please do so privately.
