[sdiy] name that chip?

Hi People..I have a couple of metal can type IC's I salvaged from some old
(70's?)
lab equipment. They have 12 leads on them (grouped as 4x3) which made me
think they are quad
matched transistors perhaps?..but my attempts to verify this with my
transistor checker failed.
Anyway the chips are marked:-
8922
EHOS-100AH
USA

ring a bell with anyone? websearches drew a blank.
