    Well, whatever it is, it was made in the 22nd week of 1989, so, it is not
very old.  The package you describe sound like one that was very commonly used
to house small hybrid circuits.  Is the can on the oder of magnitude about 1/2
of an inch in diameter?  If it is, it is probably a hybrid IC.  The rest of
the part number makes no sense to me.
