Hi
I am partial to a twinT with VC, a decay generator and an impact tone generator.
its a really great crappy sound. and really easy to build. Twin T with voltage
control can be found at PAiA, decay generator is pretty self explanatory and the
impact generator is just a low pass RC filter with the trigger pulse going through
it. Sounds great and is lofi, but still sounds enough like a drum that people know
what's going on. You might also want to look at the PAIA 5700 if you want more
control, the schematic is floating around on the web I think, if not I can send it to
you if you would like to take a look.
