Hi all,
I have just got hold of a bank of four Digisound State Variable
Filters each using the SSM2040 and giving me 12/24db lowpass and highpass
2nd and 4th order bandpass and notch filtering via a selector.
Two of the SSMs have been stripped out and TBH the panel is a bit of a mess;
sticky labels and Letraset covered in very crinkly sticky back plastic,
most of the knobs have gone.
I am going to renovate using new pots and presets with Schaeffer panels and
I am trying to decide whether to built it back as a four filter bank or whether
tomake up to four separate modules. Building a bank would mean buying two
more ssm2040s or I could stick to two separate modules.
Are there any advantages keeping the filters as a bank of filters and does anyone-
know of any interesting configuration I could include or do I keep fully modular?-
Maybe some sort of switch to sync all filter responses???
I am not decided what I want to do so I thought I would see if anyone have any
useful ideas/opinions/suggestions??
regards...
Keith
