[sdiy] O-scopes

Can anyone recommend an oscilloscope?  I've heard Tektronix is good...  Is 
40 MHz good enough, or maybe even 20?
I'm just getting started in all of this, and don't have much of a clue what 
to look for in an oscilloscope.
