  Exar produces a limited line of VCO, VFC, waveform generator and other
chips, which can be viewed at:

  Nothing seems to be pin or part number compatible, but it could be
a discontinued part. You might try asking via their technical support
inquiry form:

  I happened to visit their site just a couple of days ago to view
the specs on their XR4151P VFC chip, which All Electronics is selling
for $.80/ea.
