[sdiy] SRAM like 5101

Hi Juergen,
haven't heard of separate I/O RAMs for ages. Our friend Reichelt still
offers 2114 RAMs, which are from those ages. His description says DRAM,
but those are static. However I'm not sure if they have separate I/O.
Since I'm at the office, I don't have an ancient data book at hand right
now. And it's most probably not CMOS, which seems to be the core
requirement in a PS-3200...
Is this a repair job, or is it for your clone project?
In that case it's probably better to do a redesign, in order to use
something like 6116s (2kx8). Of course it will depend on the surrounding
circuit if this is easily feasible. IMHO, adding a couple of 'LS245
3state buffers would be better than relying on obsolete parts, but gate
timing may require some thinking.
Gee, it's hard to imagine JH designing digital circuits :-)
regards
Christian
