[sdiy] Ring mod for guitar

Hi Mr. Barker,

Many of us something called "stripboard" that is pre-etched and drilled for
0.1 inch hole spacing (perfect for standard DIPs). It is organized so that
each pin of an IC has 3 or 4 additional connection points. I use wire to
connect the strips together as needed. This is often used for one-off
projects or experiments. So yes, you can build your project without having to
actually etch a PCB. Something like what you describe should work quite well
built this way and being simple would take minimal time.

Another way is to use plain (no strip etches) predrilled vectorboard and the
special pins it needs. Happy Harry can best describe this since he uses this
method. It can involve soldering wires from one point to another or
wirewrapping depending on the pins.
