[sdiy] Ring mod for guitar

Hi folks,
I am very new to the world of Synth DIY and cuircit building, and have been 
eagerly reading your discussions over the past few weeks since I subscribed.
I have been planning my first project - a ring mod that will modulate the 
dry output of a digitech whammy pedal with the wet output.
I have a cuircit diagram for a ring mod (found on the Synth Fool site - very 
simple design using just a few components) but I have never made a PCB 
before. My reservations are as follows: can I make a PCB using wires instead 
of a printed layout, and are there any limitations to the ring mod design 
shown on the Synth Fool site?
