Don't know if any of you have any been there, but I live in LA and ALL
Electronics is an interesting place to say the least. They're the king of
surplus. I would wager that they don't have a clue about these midi units,
as they probably bought them by the pound. I am half-serious about this.
When they got the keyboards from Alexis, there were literally hundreds of
them piled up all over the place. The guys there knew they were musical
keyboards, heard from one guy who bought one that they might not work and
that's about it. They've got piles of disk drives, partially built-up
faceplates, OEM DC supplies, old AM radios from cars....it's really a
terrific joint.
Ther's a box there about 3x3x3 feet that's literally filled to the hilt with
nos off-white plastic rotary TV channel knobs that look to be from about
1950!
