I just used google and groups.google, and everything was fine.  You might
want to clear your cache and/or cookies and try again.

I have seen similar behaviour before.  Sometimes I'll hit a page with a
nasty banner ad, and as soon as the banner loads, it takes over the whole
page.  If I hit "back," I go back to the original page, and as soon as the
banner reloads, it boots the pags off again.  I have to hit the stop button
before that happens.
