Hi Theo (inline)

>I am building a guitar stomp box version of my wave shaper circuit.
>The input level has a rather large influence on the sound of this circuit.
>Therefore I like to know what the "typical" input level range for a stomp
>box effect is.
Most guitars have peak levels of 500mV to 1V... average from
50mV to 150mV, depends on pickups, the gorilla hitting the strings, etc.
>Do I need to cover both "pickup" (mic?) and line level input signals or is
>just "pickup" level enough?
Usually 'just' guitar pickup range is good. Don't plan on mic inputs
unless you are sure the user will want to do that. Waste o time imho.
>Also how much Vtop/top is "pickup" level anyway.
I don't understand this terminology (unless I answered it above ;^)
H^) harry
