My point was not really to do with pricing of DACs, accuracy etc.
My point was the Paul likes to state his opinions on matters such as
this as if they were objective facts.
He's unable to accept any other point of view may be valid, and takes
the rather childish approach of implying that not over-engineering
everything you do amounts to taking the extreme opposite view, Uber-DIY
etc, which is apparently a pointless waste of time.
For an analogue circuit designer, he seems to have a digital world view.
There's right, or wrong, and nothing in between.
Paul is perfectly entitled to this point of view. But his right to his
own opinion is balanced by the right of others to disagree, and
ultimately, there is no 'correct' way to do anything.
