I use plastic. In fact, my modular system is made from electrical boxes and
blank box covers. Connectors are mostly .093 molex pins. Advantages: Easy to
work, no worries of shorting anything, low cost. Disadvantages. The covers have
a tendency to break if you drop them. Six modules wide fit in a wood case that
will fit in a rack.
