Hi All,

Found this interesting page on the web:

Basically, ferric chloride is quite harmless as long as you follow common
sense rules.  BTW, it also mentions how to neutralise spent etchant with
washing soda before disposal.

As for ammonium persulphate, I gather the advantage is that the solution
is clear, so easier to check on progress of the etching process and
doesn't stain.  I'm not sure how they compare in cost or disposal
procedures though.
