If you insist on buying a modified Speak & Spell you should buy one from REED 
GHAZALA, the "inventor" of the modified Speak & Spell. Don't forget about his 
"bare bends" units! Link below... 

But this is SynthDIY as in Do It Yourself. You should take a look at the 
Speak & Read document that I posted in the files section of the Benders 
Anonymous group on Yahoo if you need help. It has many points that are common 
on all of the various board types. Ghazala also has schematics of sort in the 
circuit bending tutorial on his website.
