Hi,

  It depends on what you want from it.
If you just want a working Midi to CV, there are plenty of kits(Tony sells
the rather good TBDac PCB+Cpu).
My AVRFreaks article is aimed at getting you going if you want to make your
own.
I'm currently finishing a Polyphonic Midi  to CV converter (with two
Monophonic modes aswell), you can find information on it here ;-

I'm just completing the schamtics and next week I hope to complete the PCB
layout, then I'll be getting 5 made and set to testers to make sure my code
works for other people aswell as it does for my own setup.
You'll be able to buy the PCB and CHIP, but I wont be making it a freebee (I
gotta eat too).
