Stephen,
I would run long, hefty speaker wires. The possibility
of ground loops is just too large when trying to
remote amps like that. The pros use balanced lines
when running a long distance for that reason.
As for a generator, if it is a small home job, no
problem. On my systems where I have compression
drivers that be blown out by thumps, it would be a
concern.
