There are 2 circuits at Ray's Synth pages:
    http://atlas.csd.net/~rjwsoft/synthesizer.html
1) Ray's 8 Channel Expandable Analog Sequencer
    http://atlas.csd.net/~rjwsoft/sequencer.html
2) Rays 32 x 1 and 16 x 2 Channel Analog Sequencer
    http://atlas.csd.net/~rjwsoft/new32x1and16x2sequencer.html

Also see http://www.cgs.synth.net/. (Is this Ken Stone's site?)
Click "PCBs for sale." There are a gate sequencer and a Gate Seq. CV
Adapter. ("The CV Adapter is an addition to the Gate Sequencer converting it
to a traditional eight-step control voltage sequencer.")

The above circuits all use 4000-series CMOS. Hope this helps.
