Much of the discussions Ian and myself (and a few others) had over the 
years covers this. My thinking is still that mismatch (at least in first 
order) only generates a constant tuning offset. I gave the derivations 
in the last posts about this topic a couple of months ago, I can dig it 
out again if anyone wants.
