Well, it's the sound of the early to mid 70's at least. A hell of a lot of
equipment used them, simply due to the lack of any real choice.  Of course,
the 741 is the perfect op-amp for the D/A converter of the Digisound VCDO -
it's slew does all the filtering that is needed.
