[sdiy] Frequency shifters, again

JH mentioned using two frequency shifters with a fixed filter bank in
between the other day, and that got me thinking about other things the
technique could be applied to.

What about flanging? Or just a small fixed delay. If you sweep the FS
instead of the delay time, the notches of the resulting comb filter
would all shift by the same frequency and maintain their spacing,
instead of sweeping by some integer multiple and spreading apart.

I don't know if this would would sound any better than standard
flanging, but it seems like some mixture of frequency shift (up/down) ->
flange -> frequency shift (down/up) might be interesting.
