[sdiy] Moog921B/ua796 Question

Hi All, I'm looking at the Moog Modular schematic for the 921B Oscillator- the sync input is connected to a 796- I assume that this is a ua796 ic. My question is- is this a relation to a 1496 balanced modulator ic? If so, are the pinouts the same? I'd like to try and build a 921B oscillator and it's driver...as always! Any hot tips appreciated!
