Ingo,
I see your point. I used jitter incorrectly in my example. The physical
vibration may cause errors, however in the real world the only errors that
you could hear would be so huge that you would have to be physically shaking
the machine to produce them. Audiophiles are so anal that they think in
terms of "possibilities" , if something is not hardcore impossible then they
will compensate for it.
My Ultramatch is used for word clock jitter removal only. That is not the
type of error that would be introduced during burning, but only the intial
recording to hard drive media. After that additional errors are not jitter
related but may be related to other fluctations both physical or electrical.

I'm not sure what jitter means in this context. Clock jitter of the
audio DAC in a CD player? This cannot be caused by mechanical problems
of the CD drive, since every CD player has a data buffer. Any clock
jitter here is the jitter of an electronic (quartz) oscillator.
