Get some schematics, you say?  Done, thanks to RJWSoft's schematic publisher!
How does this look, in all?  I get the feeling it can't possibly be this 
simple... though I haven't yet added the opamp, as I can't figure out how to get 
the blasted thing hooked up in the schematic; it does need a separate battery 
for itself, doesn't it?
