Off the shelf an RME Multiface/Cardbus plugged into the laptop, with
an extra 8 ins from a lightpipe converter box would do the job, I
think. As far as I know the RME monitor mixing software should be able
to handle the setups, they claim 14 submixes are possible. Guess that
gives an upper bound on the budget...?
