[sdiy] making PCBs, what's your method?

I've used futurlec for a PCB just a few weeks ago. (maybe I mentioned it 
  on this thread already). there was a problem with my CAD file but once 
that was cleared up the PCB arrived about 1.5 weeks later. it was about 
3 or 4 days for shipping I think. I'm in the US. the board seemed a 
better quality than the olimex board I had made before (atleast looked 
nicer), but I didn't get the soldermask or silkscreen.

the way their pricing works, for small boards they can be really cheap 
if you order several. I thought about getting a bunch of boards for 
mounting 2 or 3 pots. or even tiny 1 pot boards. 2"x.5" single sided 
boards end up $0.45USD each plus the $10 setup fee.
