OB-8 does this. Not with a rotary switch, but with 8 individual Buttons on 
"Page 2".
Very useful. And not for monophonic playing only.
Sometimes you want 2 or 3 voices, but the envelopes re-starting at a 
well-defined point,
depending on when the key assigned to this voice has been released. It's a 
bil like having
2 or 3 monosynths under your fingers. (For traditional polyphonic playing, 
you want as
many voices as possible of course; but not always.)
