249e DARF for sale

2008-12-29 by Chris Muir

Hi,

I'm pushing my system around a little, and need to free up some space
and cash for some different modules, so I'm selling my 249e DARF. The
249e originally sold for $1900. It has the latest firmware.

I'm sure that everyone here is familiar with the 249e, but just in
case, here's the text from the original website:

MODEL 249e
DUAL ARBITRARY FUNCTION GENERATOR

The Model 249e Dual Arbitrary Function Generator consists of two multi-
segment function generators drawing from a parallel data base, each
with its own clocking and addressing resources.

Organized as a 24 stage circular sequencer, each stage stores the
values of two control voltages, four pitches (internally sent to model
259e Complex Waveform Generators), two pulses, a time value, and some
logic functions. Control voltages may be interpolated and modulated
with externally applied voltages.

The time value can be expressed as a number of MIDI clock ticks, beat
fractions, or can be derived (and scaled) from an external voltage.
Time values can be scaled separately for each output section.

A stage select facility provides for voltage control of stage
position, either with continuous control, or sampled, pulse-driven
control.

Logic functions include the incrementing of loop counters and
conditional jumps, with assignable probability. Editing can be
performed while sequencers are progressing.

The 249e duplicates and extends the functionality of the Model 248
Multiple Arbitrary Function Generator.

The 249e’s database can be stored and retrieved with the 225e preset
manager.
