Ben,
The coolest thing about the 251e is that it can play four different sequences at the same time and at different speeds if you like. I'm not an expert on either,  but if you go to Muffwiggler (in the Buchla,  Serge,  EMS section) you'll be able to ask more questions. You can also ask about Buchla users in London at Muffwiggler. what do you think about using the 251 instead of the 250? it uses up a bit less space, but can it do the same sort of things?
