[200e] Buchla Thunder

2006-01-21 by Fred Weed

I've posted a picture of the 222e ("Thunder") on the group site. The
full name is "Mutli-Dimensional Kinesthetic Input Model 222e. It's 7"
high and 12 3/4" inches long (three Buchla spaces wide). Accompanying
it is the 222e output module (7" x 4 1/4", one space wide). I don't
have a picture of it, but I posted a picture of the 225e Midi decoder,
as the 222e resembles it - it has about 30 pulse and voltages outputs,
and a 2-line alphanumeric display with page and cursor buttons, and a
knob for entering data.

The input controller has a multitude of keys (see). All keys produce
both pressure and impact signals. The long keys add location signals.
The two hex-shaped keys at the outside provide two location voltages -
horizontal and vertical. In addition, keys may be assigned 1 or 2
preset control voltage outs. Pulses, pressure, location, impact, and
control voltages are all available simultaneously, and assigned to
various output with the U.I. on the output module.

The output module's user interface allows the user to assign pulses,
locations, pressures, impacts, and control voltages to the various
output jacks on the 222e output module.

Regards, Fred..
