Hi Frank, Generally for a six panel system that must include 250e I would recommend: 250e, 281e, 292e, 261e and 225e. That would give you something "traditional" that can be used on its own. Why no filter? Well the Buchla oscillators are capable of such a wide variety in timbre by themselves that a filter isn't as neccessary as in systems from other manufacturers. I think the 292e is enough in such a small system. The 250e is great, i got mine a month ago and i love it. 225e is essential to enable storage of parameters, since the sequencer is so complex you'll need it. 261e probably matches the quantized CV output of the 250e better than Plan B etc. If you have a lot of other modular gear and wants something extra perhaps you could do without the 281/292 as many others copies these modules? 291e is a powerful module providing functionality that no other manufacturer does in such a small package. It definitely needs the 225e too. The last module could be 266e, another 261e or a 297. johan 2007/1/6, fhserge <Frank.Hettlich@gmx.net>: > Hello experienced 200e users, > > I am considering buying a small 200e system filling a 200e 6: powered > boat in the next few months. > > As a sequencer maniac I definitely want to have a 250e.
