On one section of the 256, set the input and output knobs to 0, and add a breakpoint, and set the breakpoint in value about mid way, and its out value to full. Note that if you connected the three points in the display it would sort of resemble a triangle wave. Now, if you feed this a sawtooth from a function generator set to recycle with 0 attack and a longish decay, the 256 will output a triangle. This same setup will also frequency double a triangle wave input. This is pretty useful for adding a kink in what would otherwise be a smooth ramp. -C
